Our Students — with International Achievements!

The students of My Horizons Lyceum study English in depth and prepare for Cambridge English Qualifications — international exams that officially certify English language proficiency worldwide.

On June 21, 2025, in Warsaw, Poland, our 4th- and 5th-grade students — Andrii Dudchenko, Kateryna Poberezhna, Oleksandra Burkovska, Elina Zarva, Vira Turovets, and Sofiia Paziuk — successfully confirmed their A2 level by passing the A2 Flyers exam (for children under 12 years old).

Words cannot fully describe the joy in the children’s eyes when they realized that perseverance and hard work truly bring results!
Throughout the entire school year, they diligently prepared — completing dozens of practice tasks, analyzing their mistakes, and gradually improving their knowledge. The trip to Warsaw became not only a serious challenge, but also a real adventure filled with bright emotions and new experiences.

Of course, we’re not stopping there.
Our students have already begun preparing for the next level — A2 Key for Schools. Together with their teacher, Ms. Yuliia Shpak, the 6th graders are familiarizing themselves with the test format, studying essential vocabulary and grammar, and confidently moving forward to conquer new heights.

This trip was special not only for the children but also for their mentor.
Ms. Yuliia Shpak also took international exams and earned TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test) certificates — Module 2 and Module 3 — which confirm her high level of expertise in modern teaching methodologies according to the Cambridge framework.

We are proud of our students and teachers!
Together, we grow, learn, and achieve new heights.

“Leadership in a Christian Family” — a Seminar for Educators by Marichka and Bohdan Halyuk

The team of My Horizons Lyceum is a community that continually grows, refines its teaching skills, and strives for spiritual development. We believe that true human growth is the harmony of spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental health. That is why we care about the all-round enrichment of our colleagues.

On October 6, the lyceum welcomed Bohdan and Marichka Halyuk — a Christian couple who have dedicated their lives to serving God and people.
Bohdan is a minister and Deputy Director of the Department of Education at the Ukrainian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith (UCCEF), and Marichka is the author of Bible reading plans for YouVersion, research-based courses, and a Christian blogger.

The topic of the seminar — “Christian Leadership in the Family” — proved to be highly relevant for both women and men. During the meeting, the speakers talked about Jesus as a leader who serves rather than rules; about the importance of maintaining balance between spiritual, mental, and physical life; and about how one’s character influences change within the family and society.

The speakers illustrated their message with vivid biblical examples:

  • Eve — a symbol of losing God’s peace through lack of knowledge and distrust;
  • Esther — an example of wisdom, peace, and determination through which an entire nation was saved.

Participants of the meeting reconsidered an important truth: the choices and character of a single person can change the destiny of a family, a team, or even a nation.

A highlight of the event was a talk-show-style Q&A session, during which a thought resonated strongly with the audience: there are three levels of understanding one’s character —

  1. what others see in us,
  2. what we see in ourselves,
  3. and who we truly are — before God.

Another profound statement was voiced:

“Honesty with yourself and before God is the path to true growth and leadership.”

In the context of family, this means building relationships not on authority or power, but on mutual service and respect. In everyday life, it means constantly examining one’s character and asking: Does it reflect biblical values?

We sincerely thank Bohdan and Marichka Halyuk for the warm atmosphere, profound insights, shared prayer, and heartfelt communication.
We also thank God for the new acquaintances, inspiration, and experiences that help us grow and reach new horizons.

A Profession That Changes the World: “My Horizons” Educators Among the Best Teachers in the Region

On the eve of Education Workers’ Day, traditionally celebrated on the first Sunday of October, a solemn ceremony took place in Khmelnytskyi to honor those who shape the country’s future — the educators. The session hall of the House of Councils gathered hundreds of teachers, caregivers, school principals, and methodologists — all those who, with love and inspiration, devote their hearts to nurturing a new generation of Ukrainians.

The event was attended by the Chair of the Regional Council, Violeta Labazyuk, and her deputies — Volodymyr Honcharuk, Valentyn Sokolyuk, and Tetiana Zelenko. They congratulated the educators on their professional holiday, expressed sincere gratitude for their dedicated work, and presented honorary certificates and awards to the most distinguished representatives of the regional educational community.

During the ceremony, a moment of silence was held in memory of all educators and defenders of Ukraine who gave their lives for the country’s independence. This moment of profound silence served as a reminder that the work of a teacher today is not just a profession, but a true calling — one filled with self-sacrifice, courage, and faith in people and in Ukraine itself.

In her speech, Violeta Labazyuk emphasized:
“It is you, dear educators, who help our children become intelligent, disciplined, neat, wise, and, most importantly, conscious citizens of an unbreakable Ukraine. We owe our ability to live and work to our defenders — the brave men and women who hold back the enemy onslaught and ensure our right to work in relatively peaceful conditions. Among those who, at the risk of their lives, stand up for our independence, there are many educators.”

Among this year’s awardees were teachers from the “My Horizons” Lyceum, who pour not only knowledge and experience but also a part of their soul into their work every day. With love, they guide children along the path of discovery, teaching them to think, empathize, and believe in their own abilities. Every lesson, every conversation, every smile is a step toward children’s dreams and a confident future.

For the “My Horizons” team, this distinction means more than an honorary award. It is sincere proof that the daily work of educators carries deep meaning and echoes with gratitude in the hearts of children, parents, and the entire community. Thanks to their dedication, young learners not only gain knowledge but also learn to love learning itself, to discover their talents, to understand the world, and to take their first steps toward success with confidence.

The “My Horizons” staff sincerely thank the event organizers for their attention to educators, for their support, and for honoring those who shape the future. We express our heartfelt gratitude to all colleagues and partners who work every day with inspiration and faith in children — because it is this shared effort that makes Ukrainian education strong, vibrant, and worthy of trust.

We thank our educators for their wisdom, kindness, and the light they share with their students. It is thanks to you that education remains a true force shaping the future of Ukraine.

“My Horizons” Ranks Among the Top Three Lyceums of Khmelnytskyi in the NMT-2025 Results

The educational portal Education.ua has published its updated ranking of schools in Ukraine, an annual report that draws significant attention from parents, students, and educators. The list was compiled on the basis of the results of the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT) 2025, which serves as the main criterion for objectively assessing graduates’ academic preparation. A total of 6,560 secondary schools from all regions of the country were included in the ranking; however, only those schools with senior classes and at least five students taking the NMT were considered. This approach ensured maximum transparency, as the test results directly reflect the quality of knowledge acquired throughout the school years.

In the overall list of schools in Khmelnytskyi, three institutions stood out by securing leading positions.

  • 1st place was awarded to Lyceum No. 1 named after Volodymyr Krasytskyi, with a score of 161.01 points.
  • 2nd place went to Khmelnytskyi Lyceum of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Council, with a score of 156.23 points.
  • 3rd place was taken by the private lyceum “My Horizons”, which achieved a score of 156.19 points, falling short of the second position by only a few hundredths of a point.

For the institution that celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2025, this achievement became an important symbol of recognition and clear proof that, within a relatively short period, “My Horizons” has succeeded in becoming an educational brand of both the city and the region.

Reaching the top three among dozens of schools in Khmelnytskyi is the result of many years of consistent effort. There are no accidental successes here: every figure in the ranking behind “My Horizons” reflects a systematic approach, the professionalism of teachers, and the diligence of students. From the very beginning, the lyceum has combined high academic standards with spiritual values and personal development, creating a truly unique learning environment. Students not only acquire solid subject knowledge — later confirmed by high NMT results — but also learn to think critically, show initiative, and take responsibility.

A special role in this success belongs to the teaching staff of “My Horizons.” Teachers do more than prepare children for tests; they instill a love for learning, foster curiosity, encourage teamwork, and nurture a sense of confidence in one’s own abilities. This is why lyceum graduates confidently pass national exams, demonstrating strong results that place the institution among the best. For parents, this serves as proof that their choice in favor of private education was the right one, as “My Horizons” ensures not only high-quality knowledge but also the all-round development of every child.

Equally important is the fact that the lyceum’s successes are recognized not only through official rankings but also by the students themselves and their parents. Graduates proudly speak about their school, emphasizing that it was at “My Horizons” that they built a solid foundation for university admission and future career achievements. Parents, in turn, note that the institution provides a safe and comfortable environment where their child feels confident and receives support not only in learning but also in life. All of this further strengthens trust in the lyceum, which has now officially secured its status as one of the strongest educational institutions in the city and region.

We are sincerely grateful for the trust and support, as together we are creating the best possible future for our children.

“My Horizons” Celebrates 10 Years: Education That Changes the Future

On September 1, 2015, a significant milestone was marked in the educational history of Khmelnytskyi — on this day, “My Horizons” first opened its doors to children. Only 13 students sat at their desks, and 16 little ones began their learning journey in the kindergarten. Although this start was modest in scale, it carried profound symbolic meaning: it was from this small community of students and teachers that a great story began — one filled with faith in the future, parental support, and the inexhaustible inspiration of educators.

It is important to note that from the very beginning, “My Horizons” became the first school in the region founded on Christian values. This not only defined the institution’s educational mission but also gave it a unique character that set it apart from other schools. Despite the incredibly rapid pace of construction, which lasted only 56 days, the school and kindergarten opened on time, demonstrating a high level of organization and team unity. From the very first days, children were welcomed into a safe, cozy, and nurturing environment where each of them could make their very first discoveries.

In the following years, “My Horizons” actively grew and evolved. Over the course of a decade, the institution went through several stages of transformation: from an educational complex to a gymnasium, and eventually into a modern lyceum. Each change became an important milestone that not only expanded educational opportunities for children but also emphasized consistency in pursuing the main goal — to create a space where high-quality knowledge is combined with spirituality and strong partnerships with parents and the community.

On September 1, 2018, “My Horizons” entered a new stage of development — the school opened its middle school classes. This was an important step forward that allowed children who had begun their studies in the primary grades to continue their journey in a familiar environment, surrounded by the same values and educational approaches. The expansion of the educational space made it possible to embrace a broader range of academic programs and to ensure a more holistic and continuous learning process.

Already in July 2019, the institution received a Level III license, which officially opened the opportunity for students of grades 10–12 to study. This decision became a recognition of the school’s high level of organization, the professionalism of its teachers, and its readiness to provide a full secondary education. The opening of the lyceum for senior students symbolized the transition of “My Horizons” from the status of a promising educational project to that of a mature academic center capable of shaping generations of future university students and professionals.

Today, Khmelnytskyi Lyceum “My Horizons”, together with two preschools — “My Horizons” and “My Horizons KinderLi” — operating under the patronage of the Spiritual Council of Khmelnytskyi, are recognized among parents and the wider community as some of the most respected and popular educational institutions in the region. This is a place where children receive not only high-quality knowledge but also an upbringing grounded in spiritual and moral principles, making their education both holistic and well-rounded.

The achievements of “My Horizons” have been repeatedly recognized at both the city and regional levels. The institution has consistently demonstrated high performance and was ranked among the Top 20 in the “School & Kindergarten” category — a clear sign of parental trust and the quality of its educational process. In addition, “My Horizons” took 3rd place among the best educational institutions in the city and 4th place among institutions in the region, confirming its status as one of the leading educational centers in the area.

Of particular note are the school’s unique accomplishments — two national records officially entered into the Book of World Records of Ukraine. These achievements became vivid evidence not only of the high level of organization of the educational process but also of the creativity, innovation, and ability of the team to go beyond standard approaches, creating truly unforgettable educational events.

The celebration of the 10th anniversary took place on September 1, 2025, at the Starytskyi Theater. The festive event brought together representatives of city and regional authorities, members of the Spiritual Council of Khmelnytskyi, partners, friends, and numerous guests. The atmosphere of the celebration was filled with pride for the achievements and gratitude to all who, throughout these years, have supported and contributed to the development of this unique educational concept.

This event became proof that over the course of a decade, “My Horizons” has transformed into a modern educational center where innovative teaching methods are harmoniously combined with spiritual values and genuine care for children. The anniversary marked not only the completion of the first important stage but also became a symbol of a new beginning, opening even broader horizons of growth and new opportunities for achievements in the future.

What Professions Will Be in Demand in 2030: What Should Applicants of 2025 Choose?

The world is changing faster than ever. Even 10-15 years ago, no one would have suspected that TikTok bloggers would earn more than surgeons, and companies would be looking for cybersecurity specialists as desperately as they used to look for accountants. Automation, artificial intelligence, and digitalization are fundamentally changing what professions are needed today and what will be in demand tomorrow.

Today, it is important for applicants to choose a field where the demand for specialists is growing, not decreasing. That is why we have prepared a list of the most relevant specialties that will be in high demand in the coming years. These are the areas where salaries will grow and there will be more vacancies than candidates.

Artificial intelligence specialist (AI specialist)

Automation, voice assistants, chatbots, Tesla’s autopilot, and Netflix’s personalized recommendations are all the result of the work of AI (Artificial intelligence) specialists. According to PwC forecasts, artificial intelligence will increase global GDP by $15.7 trillion by 2030, and automation will replace up to 30% of jobs. At the same time, the demand for people who will develop, customize, and improve artificial intelligence (AI) technologies will grow.

The average salary of an AI engineer in the US is about $140,000 per year, and this figure is growing every year. Market giants such as Google, Tesla, and Microsoft are constantly looking for such specialists. Mastering machine learning, Python, and data science opens up job opportunities in the future.

Biotechnologist (genetic engineering, pharmaceuticals, ecology)

A biotechnologist is a specialist who uses biological processes, living organisms, and their systems to develop innovations in medicine, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and ecology.

Although biotechnology has deep roots as a science, it has been actively developing in its modern form only since the second half of the 20th century. Genome editing (CRISPR-Cas9), the development of mRNA-based vaccines, and the invention of artificial meat have made this area strategically important for science and industry.

In Ukraine, biotechnology is also gaining momentum, but due to insufficient funding, the industry has not yet reached its potential. Abroad, biotechnologists have much wider opportunities for development thanks to billions of dollars in investment. Specialists in this field earn $60,000-150,000 a year, depending on the country.

Cybersecurity and ethical hacking

In the digital age, data protection is becoming no less important than physical security. The number of cyberattacks is growing every year, and companies, government agencies, and even individuals need to protect their systems. That is why cybersecurity is one of the most promising industries of the future.

Ethical hackers and security professionals work in finance, telecommunications, and healthcare to develop strategies to protect against cyberattacks. They test systems for vulnerabilities, prevent data leaks, and create new security algorithms.

Salaries in this field are pleasantly surprising: in the US, specialists can earn $100,000+ per year, and the demand for them is only growing.

Media creator and digital content specialist

It seems like it’s time to start your own blog, right? It’s a good idea! But it’s worth remembering that successful bloggers and content creators are not just people who shoot videos on a smartphone. They are professionals who know how social media algorithms work, what attracts an audience, how to monetize content and create viral videos.

Brands pay bloggers more for advertising than the media, and top creators earn hundreds of thousands of dollars from advertising, sponsorship, and merchandise sales.

But to develop in this area, you should get an education in related fields: digital marketing, graphic design, SMM, video production. It is important to master hard skills: video editing, screenwriting, SEO, etc. Mastering the profession of a marketer, PR specialist, or digital producer will significantly speed up the path to success.

When choosing a kindergarten, every parent wants to be sure that their child is safe, surrounded by care and receiving high-quality preparation for school. In recent years, more and more families have been choosing private kindergartens because they offer better conditions, modern educational methods, and an individual approach to the child.

What is important when choosing a kindergarten? First of all, comfort, professional care, quality of education and safety. A child should not just play, but develop comprehensively in an environment that stimulates his or her curiosity and talents.

Rules for choosing a private kindergarten

Here are the main rules to consider when choosing a private kindergarten:

  1. Check the license and permits of the institution. A private kindergarten must have all the necessary documents to conduct educational activities.
  2. Assess the location and premises.
  3. Study the educational program.
  4. Pay attention to the staff: qualifications of teachers, work experience, number of children per teacher, availability of a medical worker.
  5. Find out about the daily routine.
  6. Clarify organizational issues: the cost of services, payment system, work schedule, attendance rules, policy on sick children.
  7. Assess the security system of the institution.

We recommend that you visit several kindergartens, talk to the management and teachers, and talk to parents whose children already attend the facility. It is important that the kindergarten meets your expectations and the needs of your child.

Private vs. Public School: What to Choose in Khmelnytsky?

Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions for parents, as it is here that knowledge and values that will influence the child’s future are laid down. In addition to acquiring practical skills, the school years build character, independence, and self-confidence. Therefore, it is extremely important that a child learns where he or she is comfortable, interested, and useful.

Public and private schools have their pros and cons. Public schools follow a standardized program and are free of charge. Private schools offer an individual approach, modern methods, and smaller classes.

What to choose in Khmelnytskyi? Let’s think about it together.

The difference between private and public schools

The main difference between private and public schools is the approach to education. Public schools follow a standardized educational program approved by the Ministry of Education of Ukraine. It is the same for everyone, and opportunities for individual development are very limited.

Private schools, on the other hand, have more freedom. They adapt programs to the needs of children, use modern methods and pay more attention to practical skills. They are usually more extensive and include specialized subjects, especially in middle and high school, where students form an idea of their future profession.

One of the key advantages of a private school is its compact classes. As a rule, an average public-school class has about 30 students or more, while private schools have 10-15 students or less. This means that teachers in private schools can pay more attention to each child, help them learn the material better and develop their strengths.

Another important factor is foreign languages and STEAM disciplines (science, technology, engineering, art, math). In most public schools, foreign languages are taught as part of the basic curriculum, and there are almost no integrated courses in programming, design, or robotics.

If it is important that a child not only memorizes textbooks but also learns to apply knowledge in practice, a private school may be the best choice.

Does private education justify its costs?

For many parents, the main argument in favor of public school is that it is free. But is it really possible to study in a public institution at no cost at all?

In fact, even in a regular school, parents regularly pay for textbooks, extracurricular activities, charitable contributions, creative clubs, and tutors. As a result, the amount can be considerable, especially if you need to further develop your child in different directions.

At first glance, private schools may seem expensive, but they offer a comprehensive approach that significantly reduces the need for additional costs. Tuition fees at the private school “My Horizons”:

  • Elementary school (grades 1-4) – 10,000 UAH/month.
  • Middle and high school (grades 5-11) – 11,000 UAH/month.
  • Extended day care – 1500 UAH.
  • Meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) – from 1000 to 2000 UAH per month.
  • Regular groups (18:00-19:00) – 1000 UAH.

If a family has two children, the second child receives a 20% discount. If a third child attends the school, he or she receives a 50% discount.

Why choose “My Horizons”?

We believe that every child is unique and deserves an education that will unlock their potential. At “My Horizons”, students grow up in an environment where their abilities are recognized and developed. We use modern methods, an individualized approach and hands-on learning that prepares children for real life. Your choice today is their opportunity tomorrow.

Preparing for School: What Programs Do Private Kindergartens Offer in Khmelnytskyi?

Your child will soon start school, and you want this transition to be easy and comfortable for them? This is quite natural. First grade means a new rhythm, more independence, new demands, and sometimes stress. That is why quality preparation for school is essential.

But what does “preparation” really mean? Is it enough just to teach a child to read and count? Experience shows that it is not. The primary goal of a teacher is not just to “send” a child to school, but to make it interesting, easy, and comfortable for him or her.

Private kindergartens in Khmelnytskyi offer different approaches to preparation. At the My Horizons Lyceum, we have combined the best methods to ensure that children gain not just knowledge, but self-confidence and the ability to adapt to school life.

The basic component of preschool education

The basic component of preschool education is a state standard that defines what a child should know and be able to do before going to school. It covers the development of speech, logical thinking, social skills and motor skills. Children learn to express their thoughts, master the basics of mathematics, and learn the rules of communication and independence. Much attention is paid to physical development and coordination of movements.

Educational program “Child” (2-7 years old)

The “Child” program is a comprehensive approach to the development of preschool children. It is based on the basic component of preschool education and takes into account the peculiarities of children’s development at different stages. The educational program includes:

  1. Formation of basic knowledge in math, reading, writing and natural science.
  2. Development of speech, enrichment of vocabulary, preparation for writing letters and numbers.
  3. Physical development through outdoor games, sports and coordination activities.
  4. Communication skills, teamwork, and emotional intelligence development.

Methodological programs “FAVOR”

In preschool age, children not only learn about the world, but also learn to understand what kindness, respect, and care for others are. In My Horizons, much attention is paid to spiritual and moral education. FAVOR’s methodological programs help children learn important life principles through interesting stories, practical tasks, and real-life examples.

The Christ in Your Family program introduces children to basic spiritual values through fairy tales, conversations, and interactive activities. Kids learn about honesty, kindness and love for others in a clear and accessible way.

“Heavenly Father’s Wonderful Family” helps children realize the importance of family relationships. It teaches mutual assistance, respect for parents, brothers and sisters, and fosters the understanding that family means support and warmth.

The God’s Care program is aimed at developing gratitude, empathy and responsibility. Children learn to be attentive to others, notice goodness and respond to it with care.

Program “Spiritual and moral education based on Christian values”

Moral principles are formed from early childhood. It is during this period that a child learns to distinguish between good and evil, to respect others, to be responsible and grateful. We have an educational program called Spiritual and Moral Education of Preschool Children.

It introduces children to such values as kindness, honesty, compassion and mutual assistance. This happens through fairy tales, conversations, creative tasks and examples from everyday life.

Children who learn moral principles from an early age are more open, friendly and confident. This is not just preparing for school but laying the foundations for the harmonious development of the individual, which will become the foundation for adult life.

Certification of teachers

Certification of teachers is an external assessment of a teacher’s professional competencies, including pedagogy and psychology, and practical skills in applying modern teaching methods and technologies.

In 2024, 4 teachers of the Khmelnytsky Private Lyceum “My Horizons” successfully passed all stages of certification: Kateryna Kryshchuk, a teacher of Ukrainian language and literature; Iryna Stepanyshyna, a primary school teacher; Khrystyna Shvets and Ihor Uspenskyi, teachers of history and civic education.

Kryshchuk Kateryna Viktorivna

Stepanyshyna Iryna Leonidivna

Ihor Valentynovych Uspenskyi

Shvets Khrystyna Pavlivna

For the first time in the history of teacher certification, a professional competition for history and civic education teachers was held in 2024. Among the 20 participants represented in Khmelnytskyi region, 4 were from the city of Khmelnytskyi, and 2 of them were teachers of history and civic education at the My Horizons Lyceum. Shvets Khrystyna Pavlivna is a teacher of history and civic education who received the maximum number of points 125 out of 125 possible.
Lyceum “My Horizons” is a place of professional growth for teachers!
