Good deeds

As part of the school’s social responsibility program, students of the 2nd Smart class, together with the first and fourth graders of the My Horizons school, showed their care and attention to the elderly in our community. This small project has become a significant step in the education of young hearts who want to make the world a better place.
On the initiative of their teachers and with the full support of their parents, the children collected a variety of goodies that can especially please the elderly, whose days often pass without much joy. They also made greeting cards with their own hands, which became real works of children’s imagination and kindness. Each card contained warm words of support and wishes of health and joy.
This message was sent to a local retirement home, where it caused sincere smiles and gratitude among its residents. Visits of this kind are important not only for those who receive attention and care, but also for children who learn compassion, empathy and the importance of helping others.

Thanksgiving Fair

At My Horizons School, we not only learn and grow, but also proudly unite for important charitable causes. The Thanksgiving Day Fair is an expression of our support and gratitude to those brave women and men who stand on the front lines for our safety and peace. The event brought together students, teachers and parents to show their gratitude and willingness to help. Thanks to their joint efforts, the fair became not only a symbol of gratitude, but also a powerful act of civic engagement, demonstrating how an educational institution can influence the support of national security and defense. All the funds raised were used to improve the living conditions of our military, emphasizing the deep respect and gratitude of My Horizons School for those who defend our peace.

Christmas performance

This year’s Christmas performance at the My Horizons Lyceum not only brought smiles and fun to the audience, but also played an important role in raising funds for charity. Traditionally, this performance has become a symbol of the lyceum’s common good and commitment to Christian values.
This year, the Snow White fairy tale chosen for the performance was not only a source of great pleasure for the audience, but also increased the amount of money raised for charity. The performance raised an extremely impressive amount of UAH 87212 and USD 100. These funds were earmarked to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine in their needs and to help those in need of assistance and support.
It is worth noting that both students and teachers of the school took part in the performance. The idea of joint creativity and charity has become a real symbol of unity and mutual support. The result of dozens of rehearsals was a bright performance in which goodness wins!
The funds raised were used to purchase necessary equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including a computer and a thermal imaging device. In addition, part of the funds was used for the treatment of the father of one of the students, where UAH 20,000 became an important contribution to help. The school community also contributed to fundraising for medical needs, the purchase of heating pads and the purchase of materials for weaving nets.
