Preschool education is an important stage for the holistic development of a child. The holistic process is aimed at ensuring the comprehensive development of a preschool child in accordance with his or her inclinations, abilities, individual, mental and physical characteristics, and cultural needs. Preschool education is an obligatory part of the system of continuous education.
Many parents wonder at what age it is better to send their child to kindergarten. However, preschool education is very important because it ensures the holistic development of a child, develops his or her physical, intellectual, and creative abilities through education, training, socialization, and the formation of necessary life skills. Preschool education is an important stage for the holistic development of a child. Today, its content is organically linked to the ideas of the New Ukrainian School: it ensures continuity between preschool and primary education in the context of school reform. The systemic characteristic of the development of a child of senior preschool age is manifested in the formation of competencies. These competencies are formed by instilling a value-based attitude to the environment and the environment, and are developed under favorable conditions in various situations of life experience and communication in which the child is involved in the family and in public education.
When a child receives preschool education, his or her personality is formed:
- – his/her personality, the child gains social experience;
- – basic knowledge of mathematics, nature, native language, reading;
- – love for Ukraine, respect for the family, respect for folk traditions and customs, the state language, national values, as well as the values of other nations and peoples;
- – conscious attitude to oneself, to the environment and to others.
High-quality preschool education is the key to a child’s successful development and well-being. The quality of preschool education affects the child’s success in later life.
