Charity Performance: Little Artists with Big Hearts

Every holiday evening has its own magic, but this one was special. On December 20, 2024, the Khmelnytsky Regional Academic Music and Drama Theater hosted a charity Christmas performance “From Snow to Sunshine” with the participation of My Horizons pupils. The event united the school community, parents, and guests for an extremely important cause. This year, the students and teachers of the lyceum dedicated the performance to our defenders, as all the funds raised went to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Emotions and atmosphere: how it went

Even before the performance began, the atmosphere of warmth and anticipation was palpable. The guests took their seats in the hall, and the stage was already attracting the eye with bright decorations and thematic design. The evening began with warm words from the hosts, who reminded us of the main goal of the event – to raise funds to support Ukrainian defenders at the front.

The performance was based on the Slovak folk tale “12 Months”. It tells the story of a girl who, due to her stepmother’s cruelty, is forced to find spring flowers in the middle of winter. In the forest, she meets 12 months who help the sincere and kind girl.

The title of the play “From Snow to Sun” symbolizes the path from difficulties and trials to the bright future we all want. The young actors skillfully conveyed the atmosphere of the fairy tale, their performances evoked sincere smiles and tears of emotion from the audience.

The teachers who worked on the production became not only mentors, but also full participants in the process. Their support helped the children to feel confident and discover their talents.

Inspiration that stays in the hearts

The audience was delighted with what they saw. Some admired the talent of the young actors, others shared their impressions of the quality of the production, and some simply admitted that this event touched them to the core.

It was a stellar time for the young actors. They shared their emotions backstage, happy that they were able to give the audience such an unforgettable evening. And for the teachers, it was an evening of pride, because their students proved that talent and work can change the world.

The charity performance was a vivid example of how art and good deeds can unite people for a great cause. We are sure that this evening will remain in the hearts of all participants and guests.

The power of joint support

Thanks to the active participation of parents, students, teachers and guests, we managed to raise UAH 123,500, which will be used to support our defenders.

This amount represents the sincerity, faith and willingness of everyone to contribute to a great cause. Each ticket and each charitable contribution was a manifestation of support for those who are defending our future on the front line.

Equally important was the support of the guests, who not only enjoyed the evening but also contributed to the common goal. The atmosphere of the evening was permeated with warmth, patriotism and sincerity. The audience supported the young artists with loud applause, creating the feeling that together we are one big family.

And this story is just the beginning. We believe that such initiatives will continue in the future, because together we can do more.
