Every year, Khmelnytsky Private Lyceum “My Horizons” hosts the Spring Scientific Colloquium. The event is a unique opportunity for young scientists to develop such important soft skills as the ability to present their scientific idea, communicate, discuss, and interact with like-minded people and professionals.
This year’s colloquium brought together students, educational leaders, scientists, parents, and teachers on one stage. This created a unique atmosphere where experienced professionals shared their invaluable experience and knowledge. The young researchers not only received valuable advice for further scientific research, but were also inspired by examples of successful projects. This format promotes close cooperation and mutual understanding between generations, which is important for the development of the scientific community.
Foreign languages are studied in depth at the lyceum. During the colloquium, students have a unique opportunity to present their work and communicate in English, Polish, German and French. This multilingual space not only improves students’ language skills, but also promotes cultural exchange, which is an important element of their personal and professional growth. Students feel part of a global scientific community, which inspires them to new achievements and opens up endless opportunities in the future. This approach creates open-minded, culturally aware, and well-rounded individuals who are ready to meet the challenges of the modern world.
The guests’ speeches have become a powerful source of inspiration for our students. Famous scientists and educational leaders shared their successes and talked about their own path of scientific development. Their stories emphasized the importance of hard work and self-belief, inspiring young researchers to make new achievements and discoveries.
In addition to moral support and inspiration, the students who were able to turn their ideas into real scientific discoveries received financial rewards. The cash prizes were a recognition of their perseverance and an incentive for further development. This is a great example of how the lyceum supports talented students and promotes their professional growth.
The annual scientific colloquium at the Khmelnytsky Private Lyceum “My Horizons” is an event that brings together people of different ages and professional fields around a common goal – the development of science and education.
